Mindfulness with Emma

About Emma

Emma’s career over the past 25 years in public health services has given her a huge appreciation for the human condition of suffering and for human resilience.

In recent years (pre-Covid) she had found herself increasingly adding self-care and burnout prevention in her work with health service staff. During this time she was living with work related stress and anxiety+

With time taken from the workplace her healing  from workplace burnout, perinatal anxiety and depression, grief and loss truly began.

Having first discovered mindfulness as a self-care practice early in her career she dived in deeper and studied to become a teacher of mindfulness. She teaches MBSR Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, MBI’s and positive psychology to the general population. She runs a  6 week course for those bereaved by perinatal loss.

Emma welcomes collaborative projects with others who hold supportive spaces for people.

Emma is continually learning from the groups of people she brings together through her work.

She maintains her own mental wellness by living mindfully, availing of supervision while teaching mindfulness, attending a mindfulness sangha and teachers retreats to deepen and maintain her practice and attends counselling if and when she needs it.
