Boosting mental wellbeing and enhancing mental health through mindfulness and more

​All courses, workshops and daily retreats are embedded in evidence based knowledge of mindfulness, positive psychology and social work. The experiential nature of group work affords you the time to explore and discuss practices and meditations.

Supplementary material and MP3 recordings of meditations experienced are shared in the spirit of participants being empowered to broaden and build on their self-care habits into the future.

4 week Mindful Living course Exploring core aspects of mindfulness and applying them to daily life

ONLINE AND IN PERSON Build up your self-care toolkit over a 4 week journey by exploring mindfulness practices and core mindfulness meditations in a group setting - MP3 meditation recordings and weekly notes given.

8 week MBSR/MBCT mindfulness course

Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction/Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBSR/MBCT) This is the most well established and researched mindfulness based intervention globally. Research has found active participation in this immersive course reduces stress, anxiety and low mood. It is made up of eight 2.5 hour sessions weekly plus one full day (which takes place after Week 6). Research has found that MBSR/MBCT: Develops clarity of thought and increased focus Enhances ability to regulate strong emotions Increases self-compassion Increases ability to cope with physical and psychological pain and suffering Improves interpersonal skills - how you relate to others Improves sleep Course handbook, weekly home practice, MP3 recordings of several mindfulness meditations, journaling prompts are included. PRE-CONSULTATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL - This is to help ensure the course is timely and appropriate for you.

Themed workshops

Themed workshops range from 30 minutes to full day workshops. Emma will assist you in choosing/building a workshop that suits  your needs, your environment and your time.  Workshops are a sharing of knowledge, discussions and  practices from mindfulness, neuroscience and  positive psychology that can be built  into healthy habits in everyday life. Examples: Self-care practices in the workplace (45 minutes) Rest and Revive half-day retreat (3.5 hours) for health professionals.

6 week Mindful healing after pregnancy loss

Helping you to adapt to life while honouring your loss. Offered online (via Zoom) and in-person Taking a mindful journey with yourself, in a small supportive group with others who have experienced pregnancy loss, exploring pregnancy grief and loss, hope and resilience.  This course is based on grief work and mindfulness - an exploration and application of disenfranchised grief work related to pregnancy loss, daily mindfulness practices and meditations, mindfulness poetry and creativity, gratitude and resilience practices. Pre-consultation essential to help ensure the course is timely and appropriate for you. You may wish to discuss your potential readiness for this course with your GP or mental health professional.

4 Week Mindfulness and Positive Psychology course

This 4 week experiential course is an opportunity to gain knowledge and practical skills to reduce stress and anxiety, and increase sense of purpose and meaning in life. This includes gratitude and resilience practices.
